The Shadow Clock is a kinetic architectural shadow creator. Housed in a minimalist vessel, the project uses a precision-engineered mechanism to mimic the shifting light of a window or a sundial.
While the system is designed to track a slow, twelve-hour solar cycle, the choreography is adaptive—condensing or expanding the tempo to suit the environment. By layering a steady "hour" sweep with rapid, fleeting reflections, the work captures our intuitive sense of time, transforming the gallery into a living landscape of light and shadow.
